If you enjoyed the open world of Grand Theft Auto Online, then Rockstar’s got a successor for you in the works. Though, you might not be able to get to your heists quite as quickly on horseback. Or, heck, with mods on the PC version, maybe you can.
Rockstar announced today that all owners of next month’s Red Dead Redemption 2 will be receiving access to the companion online multiplayer mode, Red Dead Online. The mode will feature a combination of elements present in Red Dead Redemption‘s multiplayer and in Grand Theft Auto Online. There will be both competitive and cooperative activities, all set in the same open world as the main game.
Red Dead Online will launch in an open public beta in November, with a proper release to come a bit later. Owners of the $100 Ultimate Edition of Red Dead Redemption 2 will also receive some bonus swag in Online, such as a black horse, some weapons and outfits, and a free rank increase.
