Rendering the sunny beaches of Los Angeles in their full summertime glory is an undertaking for any self-respecting PC, to say nothing of depicting them riddled with burning debris and the walking dead. If you want to get the absolute best possible experience out of Dead Island 2 on PC, you’re going to need a rig that can handle a little vacation action without bursting into flames. Here are the PC requirements for Dead Island 2.

Dead Island 2 PC Requirements

As a game that’s been in the oven for nearly a decade, Dead Island 2 is packing some pretty impressive visual fidelity. Not only is its open world set in some of the most iconic spots of Los Angeles like Beverly Hills and Venice Beach, but its shambling zombies have been rendered with particular care to show off their powerful, rotting bodies.

In order to accommodate players with a wide range of PC builds, Dambuster Studios recently released a detailed list of system requirements for not just the traditional two benchmarks, but an impressive four benchmarks, ranging from the absolute bare minimum to the highest possible fidelity. If you’ve got a rig within these confines, you should be able to play the game.

The various system requirements are broken up into four categories: Minimum, Recommended, High, and Ultra. All four of these builds require at least 70 GB of free storage space in order to install the game. • Graphics Card: AMD Radeon RX 480 / GeForce GTX 1060

Next, we have the specs for a mid-range recommended performance, benchmarked at 1080p and 60 FPS:

  • RAM: 16 GB

Third up, we have a high-tier performance, benchmarked at 1440p and 60 FPS:

  • RAM: 16 GB
  • Graphics Card: AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT / GeForce RTX 3070

Finally, we have the specs for an ultra-grade performance, the highest possible quality, benchmarked at 4K display and 60 FPS:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7900 X / Intel Core i7-13700K
