It’s a good setting for a tale of heroism since kids have more room to grow as characters and heroes than adults. Ravenlok Release Date and Platforms
Ravenlok is a new action/adventure game from Cococucumber that is currently scheduled for release on May 4, 2023. The game will be released on the following platforms:
- Xbox One
- Xbox Series X/S
- Xbox Game Pass
- PC Game Pass
- PC via the Epic Games Store
Preorders for Ravenlok will open on April 20. If you pre-order the game, you’ll receive the limited-edition Raven Wings Helmet to equip in-game.
What is Ravenlok?

Ravenlok is a love letter to the many tales of courageous youths traveling lands and righting wrongs, rendered in Cococucumber’s distinctive 3D pixel art style (also known as “voxels). The story follows the titular protagonist, Ravenlok, as she stumbles into a mysterious world through a mirror portal in a deceased relative’s home, coming face-to-face with its colorful lands and hostile rulers.
According to the game’s director, Vanessa Chia, who spoke about its development in an interview with Rock Paper Shotgun, it’s inspired by her favorite fantasy epics and childhood fantasies. “Growing up in Malaysia, classics by J.R.R Tolkien, C.S Lewis, and Studio Ghibli allowed me to open a portal into another world, into a realm of imagination and possibilities.” She added that “through this fable about the fight for a creative life, we hope that the adventures of Ravenlok can bring a sense of escapism and joy to all.”
Once again, Ravenlok is releasing on May 4 for purchase on Xbox consoles and PC via the Epic Games Store and as a day-one download for both Xbox and PC Game Pass subscribers.
