For a large portion of Attack on Titan’s story, the basement of Eren Jaeger’s childhood home was a major source of mystery. The basement was long implied to hold some manner of secret about the true nature of the Titans and the world. As a nod to that enduring mystery, the basement has been transposed into Fortnite, though thankfully, it’s much easier to get into. So, where is the Jaeger Family Basement in Fortnite?

Where is the Jaeger Family Basement in Fortnite?

As part of the new Attack on Titan-themed content added to Fortnite, the infamous Jaeger Family Basement has been brought to the island, containing coveted mysteries within. You’ll need to find and enter this basement at least once in order to complete an event quest on the path toward unlocking the Eren Jaeger skin, so let’s track it down.

The Jaeger Family Basement can be found beneath one of the houses in Anvil Square. The specific house is found on the southeastern point of the town, distinctive thanks to its two sets of stairs and overhang roof. Thankfully, you don’t need a key or anything to enter the basement; just walk right down the stairs and open the door.

Once you enter the basement, the landmark will be noted, and you’ll automatically complete the event quest. As for what’s actually in the basement, there are several decorations that serve as direct nods to Attack on Titan’s story, but as far as tangible rewards, the basement is guaranteed to have at least one Scout Regiment Footlocker, the Attack on Titan event chest that yields items like the ODM Gear. You may also find a regular chest if you’re lucky.

While the area around the basement isn’t inherently dangerous, expect there to be a lot of players around for the next week or so as everyone works to complete the quest. You can try to drop there if you’re feeling gutsy, but you might want to wait a bit for some of the crowd to clear out if you’d rather play it safe.
