Scribit Bounces Across Your Walls

We always tell our kids not to draw on the walls, but now we might be telling robots that they can. A new kickstarter campaign under the title Scribit has raised over 600,000 dollars creating a machine that you can hook up to your wall and it will trace large designs for you automatically and all through your phone.

All you need is two nails and a wire to hold the robot in place, and then sync it up to your phone to choose from a plethora of pre-made designs or ones you can find on the internet. The robot will download the design, trace it using its preinstalled red, yellow, blue, and black markers, and will even erase itself when you’re ready to draw something new.

The technology uses markers that dry-erase under heat and work on plaster, whiteboard, and glass, allowing you to trace your designs all over your home. The world can literally become your canvas with Scribit as the wire moves the robot up and down across the wall with fluidity and ease.

Scribit currently costs 349 dollars and is only available on Kickstarter, but could quickly become an essential item for businesses who are constantly rewriting and redesigning their walls.
