Google’s next Fitbit tracker may have just leaked in full.

Google’s new fitness tracker, Fitbit Edge, might come with a color display, built-in GPS, phone notifications support, and up to seven days of battery life. Google has not officially announced the product, so treat its name and specifications as possibilities only.

The leaked images show a compact Fitbit with a rounded, vertically oriented display with minimal black borders.

The screen appears capable of showing the time, date, heart rate, step count, and workout shortcuts. The Fitbit Edge would also display phone notifications and support a limited set of features, including Google Maps, media and music controls, and Find My Phone.

Other reported features include:

  • Built-in GPS for recording routes
  • An altimeter for elevation tracking
  • Automatic activity recognition
  • Bluetooth connectivity
  • Up to seven days of battery life
  • Compatibility with both Android and iOS devices

The leaked material does not list Wi-Fi connectivity.

That combination would make the Fitbit Edge more capable than Google’s Fitbit Air, which launched in May 2026 as a screenless fitness tracker. Google officially rates the Fitbit Air for up to a week of battery life and launched it at $99.99.

At the same time, the Fitbit Edge does not appear to be intended as a full replacement for the Pixel Watch. The leaked product comparison instead suggests a device that sits between the simpler Fitbit Air and the more advanced Pixel Watch 5. It could also serve as the long-awaited follow-up to the Fitbit Charge line, although Google has not confirmed that positioning. The Charge 6 was released in 2023 and has not received a successor since.

The design shown in the leaked renders includes removable bands and a rear sensor array that resembles the Fitbit Air. Three colors are shown: black, green, and orange, which reports identify as Obsidian, Olive, and Canyon, respectively, as available in the Pixel 11 series.

The tracker also has metal sections along the sides. They could potentially be used for ECG measurements, similar to the Charge 6, but there is currently no confirmation that the Fitbit Edge supports ECG.

The new leak also fits with clues that have been appearing for several weeks.

In August, Google’s own Pixel 11 advertising showed an unidentified screen-equipped fitness tracker alongside other Google hardware. The device had an elongated display and did not match either the Fitbit Air or Pixel Watch 5.

Then, in September, an unidentified device with the model number G8BL6 appeared in an FCC filing. The filing indicated Bluetooth Low Energy and GNSS support, along with evidence of a display. A later regulatory listing in Singapore identified G8BL6 as a Google-branded device. However, the available regulatory documents do not call it the Fitbit Edge. Hence, the connection between that model number and the newly leaked product remains an inference rather than a confirmed match.

Price and availability are also unknown. Launch is expected as soon as October, suggesting a possible price range of $149 to $199. Still, that figure is an estimate based on Google’s existing wearable lineup and previous Fitbit pricing.

For now, the biggest takeaway is that Google appears to be preparing another traditional Fitbit with a screen. If the leaked materials are accurate, the Fitbit Edge would offer many of the features people expect from a fitness band, including GPS, notifications, and multi-day battery life, while stopping short of becoming a full smartwatch.
