Netflix Marvel Characters Can’t Reappear for at Least Two Years

With three of Netflix’s Marvel shows have been put to pasture, fans are wondering if maybe the heroes of New York would ever meet The Avengers, or perhaps team up with The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Based on a new announcement from Marvel and Netflix, we can officially say that’s not going to happen, at least not for the next two years.

There are clauses in the contracts for Netflix’s line of Marvel shows that states the characters cannot appear in any non-Netflix related TV shows or films for at least two years after the shows have been cancelled. Which means we won’t be seeing Luke Cage, Danny Rand, Colleen Wing, or Matt Murdock for a very long time.

Adding more salt to the wound, is the fact that even after two years has gone by, there is no guarantee that these fallen heroes will appear on-screen again. No one knows why Netflix has cancelled most of their Marvel shows, and knowing that the characters we have grown to love won’t be showing up for awhile just makes the situation all the more disappointing.
