Google’s Smart Watch Plans Unveiled

Apple has dominated the smart watch industry for far too long. It’s about time that a competitor released a product that matches up to the popularity of the iconic wristband. Unfortunately, that competitor won’t be Google… yet.

While the search engine superstars don’t have a name for their proposed smart watch, some of the ideas flying around include “Google Coach” and “Google Pixel Watch,” but nothing seems to be sticking. Everything seems to be kept in secrets, but here’s what we do know.

One thing Google wants to excel at with this watch is artificial intelligence integration. Specifically, in the fitness component, the Google smart watch would link to your account, monitor your workout habits and health, and suggest alternate exercises or switch up your routine to get a better, fuller work out. The hope is that the watch will learn with you, and when you don’t have time to work out, your watch will let you know what you can do to substitute for a workout.

Samsung also released their schematics for their new smart watch, and FitBit is releasing a new version of their popular product with one crazy change. A leak reports the next updated version will of the charge will not have a GPS, but will have a touch screen.

Regardless of what is in the works, it would be nice to have options when it comes to smart watches, because seeing everyone having an Apple Watch is getting really old, really fast.
