‘Resident Evil Village’ Showcase to be Held this Month

The Resident Evil Re:Verse beta is also live.

Say what you will about Capcom, when it comes to their games (at least outside of Street Fighter), they know what their fans are in the market for. Case in point, while there’s been no shortage of teasers and trailers for the upcoming Resident Evil Village, the one connecting factor between all of those trailers is at least one cameo from everyone’s favorite nine-foot-six vampire, Lady Dimitrescu. Capcom knows what everyone’s here for, and I’m willing to bet hard money that those cameos will continue in their next presentation.

Capcom announced today that they’ll be holding another showcase livestream to give us a few more tantalizing tidbits on Resident Evil Village before it launches on May 7. The presentation will be held on April 15 at 3:00 PM Pacific, 6:00 PM Eastern. The stream will be hosted once again by Brittney Brombacher, and while the main stream will be in English, there will be separate streams running concurrently in Spanish and Portuguese. I’m admittedly not entirely sure what else there is to show with the game so close to release, but I’m sure they’ll have something cool for us.

In the meantime, the open beta for Resident Evil Re:Verse, the free online multiplayer game that comes bundled with Resident Evil Village, has gone live on PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. The beta client can be freely downloaded from those consoles’ digital storefronts and played until the beta period ends on April 11, even if you haven’t pre-ordered the game. Fair warning, though, users have reported some nasty bugs with the in-game matchmaking, to the point that many can’t even get into a match. The beta has also gone down for maintenance a few times already. It’s a beta, what do you expect?
