Nintendo confirmed on their Twitter today that another Nintendo Direct presentation will be streaming on September 6th. The presentation will air on Nintendo’s Twitch and YouTube channels at 3:00 PM Pacific and 6:00 PM Eastern, and is supposed to last around 35 minutes.
No official statement on what the presentation will be regarding (the Twitter post only says “info on upcoming 3DS and Switch titles”), but fans are anticipating more details on the Switch Online service, which is slated to begin operation later this month. Details on the service have been notably sparse, with the only available information being the price point, the small library of free NES games for subscribers, and the allegations of additional perks like sales. The presentation is also expected to feature some more news on the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, as well as some more indie game announcements.
UPDATE (9/6/2018): Due to this morning’s magnitude 6 earthquake in Hokkaido, today’s Nintendo Direct presentation has been delayed indefinitely. According to the Nintendo Twitter, a new time and date will be announced “in the near future.”
