Harnessing Powerful Technology In Stylish Rings

Wearable technology is becoming a major item for the average person. The utility of a wearable piece of technology, combined with a sharp look, and a useful function that has everyday value, makes these items a new commodity that have finally become relatively cheap for the average person.

Because of the fact that this equipment can be shrunk down to such a small area, it has given manufacturers the possibility of creating some interesting devices. Some of the smallest and most intriguing are rings with advanced technological functions. These rings, some dubbed “smart rings,” are meant to help make life easier without taking up too much space on your body, simply one finger.

The Orii is a ring that behaves much like an Apple Watch. The device is used to place phone calls and send messages, and utilizes bone conduction to make your finger into a phone. Simply placing the index finger bearing the ring to one’s ear, the ring conducts sound through the finger, and the vibrations created by the device allow a conversation to unfold through the tip of one’s finger. These Orii rings cost around $130 dollars.

The Motiv ring is designed with health in mind. It monitors one’s daily activity, from working out to sleeping and everything in between during the day. The ring monitors one’s heart rate and uses software that links to a users smart phone. Each ring is hand made, and the company crafts each component. They even come in seven different sizes, and cost about $200 dollars.

The NIMB ring is made to keep users safe by giving them access to emergency alerting technology. This ring comes with a panic button that calls for help, meant to be much faster than pulling out your phone to make a call. With the touch of a finger, this ring will alert the user’s location to a safety network of family and police or emergency services in the area. This ring costs about $250 dollars.
