You know what my favorite part of having a Game Pass subscription is? When there’s a bunch of games you want to play coming out in the same month, and you’re not sure if you can afford them all, and then they all get added to Game Pass. I’ve had my eyes on three games for April, and all three of them are Game Pass-bound, not to mention some other major highlights. Here are the games that are coming to Game Pass in April 2023.

Xbox Game Pass April 2023 Games

As of April 7, the following games have been dated for a release on either or both Xbox and PC Game Pass subscriptions:

  • Loop Hero (Xbox/PC): Available Now
  • Everspace 2 (PC): Available Now
  • Iron Brigade (Xbox): Available Now
  • Ghostwire: Tokyo (Xbox/PC): April 12
  • NHL 23 (Xbox): April 13
  • Minecraft Legends (Xbox/PC): April 18
  • Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus and Butterfly (Xbox/PC): April 20
  • Homestead Arcana (Xbox/PC): April 21
  • Cassette Beasts (Xbox/PC) April 26
  • The Last Case of Benedict Fox (Xbox/PC) April 27

Keep in mind that these are only the titles that have been confirmed so far. Microsoft likes to reveal additional games for Game Pass in the back half of the month, not to mention occasionally stealth-drop them as they did with the critically-acclaimed Hi-Fi Rush. Keep your eyes peeled, because you never know what they’re going to hit us with next.

Here are a few highlights of this month’s loadout you may be interested in.

Minecraft Legends

A new strategy action game set in the Minecraft world, Minecraft Legends has you build your own bases and armies from scratch to repel an invasion of Piglins from the Nether. Charge bravely into the fray atop your trusty horse with your legion of allies and minions behind you, either in a lengthy single-player campaign or against other heroes in online multiplayer.

The next chapter of the hit indie visual novel Coffee Talk, the second chapter introduces you to a variety of new humanoids, as well as plenty of familiar faces, coming into your humble cafe for a hot drink and a sympathetic ear. Serve your customers their favorite drinks, topped with custom latte art, and get to know their lives and troubles. If you haven’t played the first game, don’t worry, it’s already on Game Pass.

Cassette Beasts

Like Pokemon? Like mix tapes? How about Pokemon in a mix tape? In this monster-collecting adventure, you find yourself spirited away to an extradimensional island where folks from across time and space have found themselves trapped. Use the power of your trusty tape deck to copy the powers of the local monster populations and transform yourself into them to fight. When things get dire, unite with your allies to form new combined monsters, with unique combinations for every single monster type in the game.

These are just a few of the games to look forward to for April. It’s a pretty fantastic month to be a Game Pass subscriber, I have to say, especially with even more awesome games just around the corner.
