I feel like Tesla should be focusing on making the Model 3’s that are severely underproduced, but apparently Elon Musk thinks differently about that. Instead, they decided to manufacture 200 limited edition surf boards that sold out on the same day they went on the market. Each surf board was priced at $1,500 but some are now being pawned on Ebay for over $5,000.
These made-to-order, carbon fiber surfboards will be hand made and shipped out within 10 weeks. Each is designed with the same color scheme of the red and black Model 3, as well as being shaped to fit perfectly for travel with Tesla brand cars.
Other than being pretty and strong (and fitting in a Tesla, which is already hard to do) these surfboards offer nothing more than to be extra cash flow for Musk’s controversial car company that can’t seem to keep up with demand. We’ve spoken in the past about how many people are removing themselves from the wait-list, as production of the Model 3 electric cars has only just begun to meet production goals.
