‘Pokemon Go’ Adds Shiny Variants of Azurill, Marill, and Azumarill

‘Pokemon Go’s’ holiday festivites have just kicked off, and a part of those festivities is the return of Delibird, as well as its shiny variant. What Niantic didn’t tell us however, is that they would be dropping three new shiny variants into the game along with Delibird!

Players now have the ability to add shiny Azurill, Marill, and Azumarill to their teams. Azurill will be the hardest shiny variant to find, as it is a baby Pokemon. Baby Pokemon can only be found in 7KM eggs, so if you hope to get one, you’d better get to walking as much as possible during the holidays, when baby Pokemon are more likely to come from 7KM eggs. Marill is the evolved form of Azurill, and is easy enough to find in ‘Pokemon Go,’ but a shiny Marill is a different story. Like Azurill, Marill’s shiny form is green. Last but not least is Azurill, the final stage evolution of Marill, and unlike its’ predecessors, it sports a golden shiny form.

Unfortunately, only Ice-type Pokemon will have increased spawn rates, and Azurill is a Normal/Fairy Dual Type and Marill and Azumarill are both Water/Fairy Dual Types, so don’t get your hopes up too high on finding any of these new shiny Pokemon any time soon.
