Nintendo Launches Sales for MAR10 Day

Nintendo is getting a head-start on Mario’s favorite day.

This coming Thursday is March 10, better known in the gaming sphere as MAR10 Day. Due to the date’s similarity to his name, the day is often associated with Nintendo’s plucky plumber mascot, Mario, and every year Nintendo runs a sale on Mario and Mario-related games on their platform to celebrate. While it’s not quite March 10 just yet, Nintendo has decided to get a head start and launch their sales early.

Mario games have all been discounted on the Nintendo Switch eShop, or if you prefer physical copies, multiple retailers including GameStop, Amazon, and Best Buy are all running their own Mario game discounts. Prices vary between retailers and the eShop, but in general, most of the offered games have been knocked down from $60 to $40.

The offered games include:

  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
  • Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury
  • Luigi’s Mansion 3
  • New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe
  • Super Mario Maker 2
  • Yoshi’s Crafted World
  • Mario Tennis Aces
  • Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle
  • Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020
  • Mario Golf: Super Rush

If you somehow haven’t gotten it yet, this is probably a good time to pick up Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Nintendo doesn’t usually do deeper discounts than this for their major releases, even on holidays or in the summer, so this is probably the best you’re going to do. It’d definitely be good to get in before they start rolling out the new DLC tracks in the next few months.

These deals will stick around until Sunday, March 13.
