Nintendo Is Getting Diablo

It’s been six years since Blizzard Entertainment’s Diablo 3 debuted on PC, and the dungeon crawler swept the world by storm. As the third installment in the series, the game improved on all previous mechanics, updated the graphics, and created a comprehensive loot and talent system to compliment its new classes. While the story and core gameplay remained the same as usual, it wasn’t a bad thing. The plot twists were predictable, but everything about Diablo 3 was still enjoyable.

All month long, Blizzard has been teasing a potential release of a Diablo series game on the Nintendo Switch. Fans speculated a spin-off, a new installment, or anything to help the dungeon crawler revitalize its popularity. And surprise, it’s official! Diablo 3 is coming to the Switch. The Eternal Collection will be available on the Nintendo console. It will include both expansions, Reaper of Souls and Rise of the Necromancer, so there will be plenty of content to keep players satisfied.

While full details are not completely revealed, multiplayer will allow both joy cons to be used in order for a second player to join the fun on the couch. It’s crazy how many controls they can command into those tiny sticks, but more power to the developers for making it happening. Watch the full player above for all the information we know so far.
