Explosive News, Talking Heads, And Rage 2

Bethesda released more information on an unlikely sequel that’s finally coming to light: Rage 2. During their E3 conference this past weekend, we got a huge gameplay trailer for the new title, including details about the collector’s edition and potential release window: Spring 2019.

For those of us who remember the first game back in 2011, Rage was another post-apocalyptic themed shooter that had the graphics of a Call of Duty game with the vibe and twisted humor of the Borderlands series. What the game lacked was diversity in environments, length, and openness for the world to really immerse the gamer.

The gameplay trailer, however, shows a whole new side to the story. Bethesda is calling this an open world “shooterverse” with a return to exciting and hyperbolic gun-fun and vehicular combat. What’s new is going to be the diversity of post-apocalyptic environments and the certainty that Bethesda will be cranking the ridiculous level up to 11 with new gun upgrades, power ups, and a vibe that feels vastly familiar to the vibe of the recent DOOM remake.

Oh, and the 120 dollar collector’s edition will have a motion activated talking head of Ruckus the Crusher. That’s on top of a poster, Steelbook case, and more unannounced goodies. So prepare yourself to return to the Wasteland and get ready for more mutant-bashing action next year.
