Samsung’s latest feature allows users to Google search anything on their screen without leaving their current app, enhancing the search experience on Galaxy S24 and Pixel 8 devices. This innovative tool revolutionizes how users search for information on their smartphones, allowing them to quickly and easily search for anything displayed on their screens without leaving their current app.
The concept is straightforward: by pressing and holding the home button on the screen, users can activate Circle to Search. They can then use their finger to draw around text or objects on the screen, initiating a Google search for the selected item. This visual look-up tool provides instant access to more information about anything from products seen on social media to unknown landmarks in videos, eliminating the need to take screenshots or use reverse image search tools.
Circle to Search is designed to seamlessly integrate into the user experience, ensuring that users can access it from anywhere on their devices without interruption. This feature is set to debut on the Galaxy S24 series, including the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which will be available for purchase starting Jan. 31. Additionally, Circle to Search will be launching on the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, with availability also starting Jan. 31.
To activate Circle to Search on the Galaxy S24 or Pixel 8 devices, users simply press and hold the home button and select the Circle to Search option that appears. Once enabled, users can circle, scribble, or tap anything on their screens to initiate a Google search. The results are displayed in a panel at the bottom of the screen, allowing users to swipe up for more information or tailored search results based on their query.
Circle to Search offers a wide range of possibilities, allowing users to search for virtually anything on their screens, from celebrities on social media to items in e-commerce listings. The tool also supports prompts for more tailored results or AI summaries, enhancing the search experience for users.
