American telecommunications company Verizon is now selling iPhones alongside their unlimited plans through their newest startup, Visible, as reported by TechCrunch.
Visible was launched in 2018, winning over consumers by offering unlimited talk, text, and data for a mere $40 a month. The plan was– and still is– extremely attractive in terms of pricing, but its biggest downside is the speed, which is limited to just 5 Mbps maximum.
According to Verizon, Visible can keep its plans much lower in costs compared to other companies due to its “all digital business model,” which means it’s not paying for physical infrastructure such as stores, for example. Unfortunately, the plan also required users to bring their own unlocked iPhones, which was another extra step for interested consumers.
Now, Visible is removing this extra step. The company is partnering with Apple Inc. and financing company Affirm in order to bring iPhones straight to their customers, with no hidden fees like activation, SIM card kit or restocking fees.
Affirm gives Visible customers 0% APR with the following plans:
iPhone SE – $10 a month
iPhone 6S – $12 a month
iPhone 6S Plus – $16 a month
iPhone 7 – $18 a month
iPhone 7 Plus – $23 a month
iPhone 8 – $24 a month
iPhone 8 Plus – $29 a month
iPhone X – $37 a month
iPhone XR – $31 a month
iPhone XS – $41 a month
iPhone XS Max – $45 a month
In addition to this, Visible has also launched ‘Visible Protect’, a service that provides access to AppleCare. The plan starts at $10 a month.
