The Origin Millennium Gaming PC: The Rig of the Millennium?

Credit: Origin

Depending on how you use a PC, the Origin Millennium Gaming PC could be the perfect rig for you.

Built for gaming, the Origin Millennium also offers a ton of space for other activities. The unit comes with dual vertically-mounted GPUs with four possible configurations.

The front-facing door can be adjusted to open right or left, depending on your preference. Made of aluminum and steel, the door has a solid, sturdy construction. Once open, you will see four cover plates at the top. These can be replaced to install optical drives or extra USB ports. There are five hot-swappable hard drive bays on the bottom and two tempered glass side panels that are both on hinges. Accessing the interior of the unit is very easy.

A downside is that the case is on the chunky side. The dimensions are large, with a weight to match. This unit is not made to sit on any desks.

The dual RTX 2080 Ti GPUs are the heart and soul of the unit. It also comes with an Intel Core i9-9900K, 32GB of Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 2666MHz Ram, and an MSI Z390 Gaming Edge AC motherboard.

The in-game benchmarks showed that on a 1080p setup, it averaged 105 fps. On a 1440p, it averaged 100 fps. And, finally, on the 4K, it averaged 70 fps. Mounting the dual GPUs will certainly add a classy look, though they don’t help with the cooling process. There are not a lot of fans that will suck out the hot air with the small gap between the two cards and HDD bays.

This is a very powerful PC with top-of-the-line components and a large case. Most gamers will not need all the extra bays and people who want to use it for more than just gaming could run into problems with the lack of cooling fans on the unit. It’s great if you want the muscle, but maybe keep a fan and a bucket of ice nearby.
