The 2019 BMW X5 Races Into Action

The BMW series is getting a serious upgrade with its latest 2019 X5 model. While the exterior may look similar, the dimensions of the car have grown, the trim has been sleeked out, and the inside of the vehicle is taking technology to a whole new level for the German automakers.

The X5 will have all new interior components for its fourth generation model. You’ll get the standard heated seats that everyone loves, with added cooling and massage options. You also have the choice of either a new Vernasca leather variant or BMW’s familiar Merino leather for your interior trim.

According to Cnet, the sunroof has 30% more glass that its predecessors, and there’s a fully redefined iDrive display that provides 12.3 inches of touchscreen options to customize to your heart’s content. These options include voice controls, gesture recognition, and other features we can’t wait to play around with.

In terms of auto-driving features, the car has a standard backup camera with a “Back Up Assistant” that remembers how you pulled into a spot so the car can automatically back out when you are ready to leave. Along with some standard safety features like blind spot and pedestrian warnings, there is a new function on the X5 known as the Emergency Stop Assistant. This feature allows the car to pull itself over, turn the flashers on, and dial a BMW assistance line if the driver becomes incapacitated.

With all these new features, it seems like the next generation of cars will be led by the BMW X5.
