Someone in the editing bay is probably a little miffed right now.
So, if you’ll recall, the first trailer for the Sonic the Hedgehog film came out a few days ago, and the near universal reaction was “oh no, why, kill it with fire, etc.” It’s the weird baby teeth, mostly.
In a rare instance of fan awareness, (though not much of it since that first design even got this far), the director of the film, Jeff Fowler, has vowed to work with Paramount and Sega (the latter rumored to be making an effort to distance themselves from the project) to improve Sonic’s design.
Thank you for the support. And the criticism. The message is loud and clear… you aren't happy with the design & you want changes. It's going to happen. Everyone at Paramount & Sega are fully committed to making this character the BEST he can be… #sonicmovie #gottafixfast 🔧✌️

Since the film isn’t supposed to come out for another six months, there is still some time to touch things up, though it likely won’t be easy considering the amount they clearly have done already. Not to mention, well, it just doesn’t look like a very strong script. But hey, better a meh movie with an okay-looking Sonic than a meh movie with a horrifying Sonic.
