What You Can Expect From Facebook in 2019

Facebook is in for some bad news for 2019.

According to Business Insider, Facebook users are actually starting to decline in number, thanks to all the scandals and controversies that the company faced last year.

However, one analyst believes that despite Facebook’s declining user base, it actually grew in revenue over the past year. After all, even though the number of users may be less than the previous years, it’s still not a small number by any means. By late 2018, Facebook was already at 2.6 billion monthly users, making it the top social media network by far. It has also managed to grow its revenue to over $6.67 billion just for its US and Canadian market.

Facebook also owns several other social media platforms and applications including Instagram and WhatsApp, a messaging service that’s very similar to Facebook’s own Facebook Messenger. Instagram has more than a billion active monthly users while Whatsapp has over 700 million users monthly.

In 2019, Facebook apparently “plans to push deeper into live streaming video in the age of Netflix and Amazon.” It’s also gearing to be more friendly towards its advertiserss, in order to grow more revenue for the company.
