Apple today announced the highly anticipated iPhone 16 lineup at its ‘It’s Glowtime’ event, marking the first new phones since introducing Apple Intelligence at WWDC 2024. The new devices include the flagship iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, as well as the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus.
All models in the iPhone 16 lineup are compatible with the generative AI-powered features that will be added to iOS 18 over the coming months. These features are part of Apple Intelligence, enhancing user experience with advanced artificial intelligence capabilities.
Key Features:
- Camera Control Button: A new button that allows users to quickly capture photos and videos and perform searches based on what the camera sees.
- Action Button: Following its debut on the iPhone 15 Pro, the programmable Action Button is now available on the iPhone 16, allowing for customizable shortcuts.
- Larger Displays and Enhanced Cameras: The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max feature bigger displays and improved camera systems for a superior multimedia experience.
In addition to the iPhone 16 lineup, Apple introduced the Apple Watch Series 10, which includes a new sleep apnea detection feature that will also be available on older Apple Watch models. The company also announced the AirPods 4, featuring a higher-priced version that supports active noise cancellation.

Pre-orders for the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max are now open ahead of their official release on September 20th. The Apple Intelligence AI features are scheduled to roll out in beta as part of iOS 18.1 in October.
