‘Death Stranding’ Confirmed for PC Port

I can’t wait to be hopelessly confused.

Since Metal Gear Solid V was my first Metal Gear game (unless you count Revengeance, which was awesome), I was a late comer to the Hideo Kojima fan club. MGSV  was an odd experience, and there were some parts I could’ve done without, like that last mission with the tanks, but overall, it was a fascinating experience and I’ll never forget it. That’s why I was a little sad when it didn’t seem like Kojima’s first solo dealie, Death Stranding, would be available anywhere except PS4. Now, my sadness has been lifted.

This morning, the official Kojima Productions Twitter confirmed not only the game’s release date of November 8th, 2019, but also that the game will be receiving a delayed-release port for PC platforms. There’s no concrete date yet, merely a Summer 2020 window, but it’s more than appreciated either way. Though, they also did not clarify which PC platforms would be receiving the game, so whether Steam or Epic will get it remains to be seen.

So for those of us who plan to wait for the PC version, this will be a battle of spoiler avoidance. Though personally, I don’t think any spoilers would make this game make any more sense. Seriously, I’ve been watching all of the promotional stuff, and still have no idea what this game is about. There’s like evil black fog that kills people and makes soldier zombies, and Norman Reedus needs to deliver a big box on his back to stop that somehow? And through all of this there’s a magic science baby involved? I don’t claim to understand it, I just know I want it.
