What are two things people love in this day and age? Cell phones and Game of Thrones, you say? That would be correct. Now, we can get the simplicity of swiping to satisfaction mixed with our favorite HBO creation in order to get a brand new mobile game experience that’s… not so new at all.
Behold the new edition of Reigns: Game of Thrones. For those unaware, Reigns is a game originally created as a medieval, tinder-esque time killer. You’re the ruler of a kingdom, you sit on your throne, and you decide what to do for your people, your enemies, and just about everything else by either swiping right or left. As you do so, your population, army, and other factors begin fluctuating. One choice leads to another, and you either rule the world or die trying to.
It already sounds like the plot to Game of Thrones, anyways, so why not combine the two? The newly announced game, which is being developed by Nerial and distributed through Developer Digital, will focus on characters such as Jon Snow, Cersei Lannister, Daenerys Targaryen, and others. It is set to debut in October of 2018 and will be availed on iOS, Android, and PC.
It’ll be the one thing to tide us over before the final season of the show premieres in 2019.
