Summer Game Fest 2024 is here, bringing excitement to gamers around the world. With E3 no longer around, this event aims to fill the gap with plenty of game reveals and announcements. Hosted by Geoff Keighley, Summer Game Fest will kick off on Friday at 2 p.m. Pacific time.

While the keynote might not have as many big announcements as past E3 events, it promises some fun surprises. Fans can expect trailers for new games like “Monster Hunter Wilds” and “Metaphor: ReFantazio.” There will also be a look at the next “Dragon Age” game from EA’s BioWare and a new game from 2K, which might be “Borderlands 4” or “Civilization VII.”

After the keynote, indie game fans can enjoy streams like Day of the Devs and Wholesome Direct, which will showcase smaller, unique games. The full schedule for all the events can be found online.

From Saturday to Monday, game publishers will host private demos and interviews in downtown Los Angeles. These sessions won’t be public, but highlights will be shared next week.

On Sunday at 9 a.m. Pacific time, Xbox will hold a big showcase featuring upcoming games like “Avowed” and “Indiana Jones.” There are rumors of new games in popular series like “Doom” and “Gears of War,” and possibly an update on the indie game “Hollow Knight: Silksong.”

On Monday at 12 p.m. Pacific time, Ubisoft will show off its big 2024 games: “Star Wars Outlaws” and “Assassin’s Creed Shadows.” Both games are expected to be major hits.

Nintendo, a longtime supporter of E3, has said it will hold its own presentation in June, but the date has not been announced yet.

Even though it’s been a tough year for the video-game industry, Summer Game Fest 2024 promises to bring exciting news and great games. Stay tuned for more updates and coverage from the event.
