The cancellations of ‘Luke Cage’ and ‘Iron Fist’ were disappointing, but it wasn’t until Netflix cancelled ‘Daredevil’ that fans really became worried for Netflix’s Marvel universe. ‘Daredevil’ is the ‘Arrow’ of Netflix’s lineup, in the sense that it is the Marvel TV show that started them all. Its cancellation came as a huge shock and left just two Marvel shows remaining: ‘Jessica Jones’ and the other Marvel show with high ratings, ‘The Punisher.’
Despite Netflix swinging the cancel-hammer, Punisher fans can rest easy. Netflix has confirmed that we will be getting at least one more season of ‘The Punisher.’ A ‘New To Netflix’ video was recently posted on their YouTube channel, and the final 30 seconds or so of the video shows a small teaser of ‘The Punisher’ before ending with the words ‘COMING SOON’.
There has been no official release date for the second season of ‘The Punisher,’ but you can be sure that people will be marking their calendars and calling out of work in advance when it’s made public knowledge.
