You know, it’s true what they say: the best things in life are free. Though, if I were to pick a second-best thing, it’d be free stuff that you can get with a widely available password. Not only is it free, but you get to put in a code like a kid with a cereal box decoder ring! That’s just another thing that makes Pokemon Scarlet and Violet such fun games. Speaking of which, here are the Mystery Gift codes for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet for April 2023.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet April 2023 Mystery Gift Codes
As a reminder, Mystery Gifts are special presents you can receive in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet by connecting to the Poke Portal via the internet and entering a special code. These codes often circulate through official Pokemon social channels like Twitter or YouTube, and are usually good for a pretty long while in case you can’t redeem them right away.
To actually redeem a Mystery Gift code in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you’ll first need to progress the game’s story until you have free rein of the open world, after you’ve been introduced to the three story paths and can choose where you go. Once you’re on your way, you can connect to the Poke Portal via the pause menu, select the Mystery Gift option at the bottom of the list, and the “Get with Code/Password” option. Enter your code and press enter, and you’ll get your gift instantly! The code entry only has one case and doesn’t use similar-looking characters, so don’t worry about case sensitivity or anything like that.
Current Mystery Gift Codes

As of April 14, 2023, there are currently four Mystery Gift codes available for redemption in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Three of these codes reward helpful items, while one of them is a special promotion from the Pokemon League.
The following codes are all good until October 2, 2023:
- LEVEL UP (Rewards 10 Rare Candies)
- CATCHBYBALL (Rewards 5 of the following: Luxury Ball, Quick Ball, Nest Ball, Dive Ball, Dusk Ball, and Timer Ball)
- REV1VE (Rewards 5 Max Revives)
The special Pokemon League code rewards you with a Palafin inspired by the Palafin used by real-life competitive Pokemon player Gavin Michael. This code does not have a specified expiry date:
- 0C1CV1CT0RGAV1N (Rewards Level 50 Female Palafin in a Cherish Ball holding Mystic Water)
Enter these codes in the Poke Portal to receive your goodies! That Palafin is especially helpful, given how annoying getting one of your own can be. Keep your eyes on Pokemon’s various channels and outlets for more Mystery Gift codes as well!
