Fortnite has been dominating the gaming world for a few months now, and with Season 6 launching today, UnCached wanted to go over some of the biggest changes so you can hop right back into the game with ease.
Removals
Some iconic items that have been in the game since the beginning have been temporarily vaulted and are no longer accessible in normal play. These include the Silenced SMG, Impulse Grenades, and the LMG.
Additions
The theme this time around, just in time for Halloween, is a spooky set of map changes and costumes, including the “Darkness Rising” theme and werewolf/headless horseman costumes. Parts of the map, like Loot Lake, are now floating and surrounded by mysterious tornados that heavily impact gameplay.
Pets
Another newcomer in the game is the addition of pets. While these are purely cosmetic additions, the pets interact with your character’s motions. Whenever you fight, they get defensive, so take care of your pooches properly.
Invisibility
Invisibility capsules, called “Shadow Stones” were originally programmed into the game, however they have been temporarily removed due to a glitch in their operation. You can expect them to (hopefully) make a comeback in the near future.
Alongside an updated user interface, the core gameplay remains mostly the same. You’re still trying to be the last man standing in the battle royale. But that hasn’t stopped Epic Games’ Fortnite from becoming the most popular game on the market.
