Fans are anticipating news on the new Legend of Zelda.

It’s been a few months since the last Nintendo Direct presentation, which means it’s just about time for a new one. As it so happens, that’s exactly what’s happening later today. Nintendo announced earlier this week that they will be holding their first Direct presentation of 2023 today, February 8, at 2:00 PM Pacific time, 5:00 PM Eastern.

“Tune in at 2 p.m. PST tomorrow, Feb. 8, for a #NintendoDirect livestream featuring roughly 40 minutes of information mostly focused on #NintendoSwitch games launching in the first half of 2023,” the Twitter announcement reads.

No further details on what games will be covered were given, though Nintendo fans are justifiably anticipating some extended coverage on the long-awaited sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, officially named last year as The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Besides Zelda, the usual speculation has sprung forth, with fans hoping for some news on more ephemeral titles like Hollow Knight: Silksong or the new Metroid Prime. Some fans are especially eager for some information on the combined port of the Advance Wars games, Advance Wars 1+2: Reboot Camp, which was delayed last year presumably due to the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
