Apple may have finally cracked the charging code.
Wireless charging is slowly starting to become quite prevalent these days, with major tech companies such as Apple starting to utilize it more and more.
Speaking of Apple, the tech giant may have a solution to the future of wireless charging, if its recent patent provides any clue. Apple recently submitted a patent that outlines how desktops could possibly power up nearby peripherals, like a mouse or keyboards, through the use of wireless technology. The new technology could also allow wireless charging for other Apple devices such as iPhones, iPads, iWatches, and AirPods.
The main problem with Apple’s devices in terms of charging is that many of them do not use the same charger, which means that it can be a hassle to have to switch accessories every time you need to charge a certain device. Wireless charging via desktop could easily change this, removing the need to have multiple accessories altogether.
While this technology sounds quite amazing, we’re still a long way to go from the actual thing, as it is still just a patent. Nevertheless, like many others, we remain hopeful for the exciting and high-tech future waiting for us!
