News of the world in one subscription. No, not the Queen album.
Apple News+ may not have gotten off to a good start with its subscribers, but that doesn’t mean that Apple’s news service isn’t worth getting. While many users experienced repeated crashing after trying to launch the app from their iOS devices, Apple has already sent out a fix and people are now enjoying their newest subscription.
In fact, Apple News+ may actually be one of the best subscription-based news services out there, thanks to the wide availability of publications on the app. Apple News+ is offering access to more than 300 publications, including fashion and lifestyle magazines like Vogue, People, and Elle, science magazines like National Geographic and Popular Science, and even newspapers like The Wall Street Journal and Los Angeles Times.
Location also seems to make a difference in what publications are available to subscribers. For example, if you live in Canada, you’ll also have access to Toronto Star, one of the local newspapers. Despite this, Apple maintains that usage of the Apple News+ app will remain private at all times. Apple will have no idea what you’re reading and will not be tracking subscribers in any way.
Subscribing to the Apple News+ service costs $9.99 a month after the initial one-month trial.
