Alienware Unveils 55″ OLED Monitor at CES 2019

Alienware unveiled a new OLED gaming monitor at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES), and we have to say, not only is it massive, it’s also breathtakingly gorgeous.

Words can’t even do any justice to this model. The new monitor is certainly impressive, with 55 inches of screen size, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a resolution of 4096 x 2160 pixels. The best part about these new displays is that they’re OLED, which means that they’re way brighter and have a much better image quality than their non-OLED rivals.

OLED displays have individual pixels that can be turned off when needed. This means that on an OLED display, the blacks are 100% true blacks, leading to better-looking pictures. You’ll find it hard to look away from this screen, that’s for sure. Meanwhile, in terms of gaming, OLEDs can also blow non-OLEDs out of the water, thanks to their faster response times.

Alienware is planning to integrate their newest OLED technology with their upcoming 15-inch gaming laptops and Dell XPS models. Dell is also planning to add new 240 Hz displays to its gaming laptops that will be released around April of this year.

So far, there are no updates yet regarding the new display’s pricing, but we’ll make sure to keep you posted!
