Ahead of Microsoft’s highly anticipated Xbox multi-platform event scheduled for February 15, details from an internal meeting have been leaked online, offering intriguing insights into what attendees can expect.

According to reports, an internal town hall meeting held on February 6 provided reassurances to employees about the future of Xbox consoles amidst rumors of first-party Microsoft games going multiplatform. Xbox President Sarah Bond reportedly showcased Palworld running on various devices, emphasizing the concept that “every screen is an Xbox.”

Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer, who was also present at the event, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to Xbox hardware. Additionally, Spencer hinted at no major changes to the Call of Duty release cycle following Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard, suggesting an October 2024 release for the next installment, rumored to be titled Black Ops Gulf War.

The leaked information sets the stage for Microsoft’s gaming “business update” on February 15, to be aired as an Official Xbox Podcast episode at 3 pm ET. While the lineup for the event reportedly includes multi-platform titles such as Hi-Fi Rush, Pentiment, and Sea of Thieves, it remains to be seen how much of the leaked information will be reiterated during the presentation.

Amidst speculation about a potential Xbox handheld console, fueled by the Palworld presentation, sources suggest that such rumors have sparked light-hearted banter among Microsoft employees. However, any mention of a portable console is unlikely during the February 15 event, as reports indicate it is still in the early stages of development and years away from release.

Microsoft fans and gaming enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the Xbox multi-platform event, hoping for exciting announcements and updates about the future of gaming on the Xbox platform.
