Facebook is working on improving their artificial intelligence for better privacy and security for users. They analyzed over 3.5 billion photos to help improve Facebook’s artificial intelligence, to better identify searched items and tags.

With the application of artificial intelligence, Facebook is using image recognition as a tool to better connect users to what interests them.

Instagram announced the new video chat feature and with a new anti-bullying feature to help protect the younger users.

The new Oculus Go VR headset that syncs with Facebook, a nice alternative to the phone plug-in VR headset. A new feature will be 2D photos for VR Memories. The streaming TV feature is in development to watch Netflix and Hulu on the headset.

Messenger will offer a translator and stripping the less used tabs to keep a cleaner design. Facebook is also promoting the Facebook and Instagram Stories feature to share with GoPro, Spotify, and SoundCloud.

Today Cambridge Analytica closed their U.K. office and is filing for bankruptcy in the United States. This data firm is accused of misusing data from millions of Facebook profiles without consent during the 2017 elections.

These features are adding more protection for the users, to prevent future problems of misused data.
