Time to tie up loose ends before the release.

Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II has had a decidedly bumpy pre-release, to say the absolute minimum. After a major leak at the beginning of the month, a lot of folks spoiled the entire game for themselves and, without delving into any spoilers here, let’s just say there were quite a few memes floating around of a distinctly… disgruntled nature. Still, spoilers or not, it is undoubtedly a big release, and Sony wants to milk the hype for whatever it may still be worth.

Sony announced on the PlayStation Twitter today that they will be holding a dedicated State of Play presentation for The Last of Us Part II on Wednesday, May 27, at 1 PM Pacific time. It’ll be a twenty-minute presentation hosted by Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann, and will feature, in the announcement’s words, “a deep dive and a new gameplay sequence.”

In a separate statement, Sony stressed that the State of Play presentation will be solely dedicated to info about The Last of Us Part II, so if you were hoping for any new information about the PlayStation 5, well, stop doing that. If you want to watch the presentation, you can catch it on the PlayStation YouTube and Twitch channels. Though, free advice, if you’re on of the brave souls trying your utmost to avoid all spoilers, you miiiiight wanna skip the presentation. Even if the presentation itself doesn’t spoil anything, there will more than likely be at least a handful of schmucks in the stream chats dropping spoilers like candy.

The Last of Us Part II will release on PS4 on June 19.
