This is probably the most thematically appropriate thing you could slap Stranger Things on.
You’re probably thinking right now “wait, they still make pinball tables?” Well, duh. Just because arcades aren’t as commonplace anymore doesn’t mean there aren’t any at all. Heck, there’s a pinball museum like, 20 minutes from me with tables old and new. No Tales of the Arabian Nights though, unfortunately. Anyway, one of the biggest manufacturers of modern tables is Stern, and they’ve gotten their hands on a pretty prolific license for their next set of flippers.
Stern will be releasing an officially licensed Stranger Things pinball table some time in 2020. The table will tell snippets of the stories of the first three seasons, and will feature tons of clips and quotes from the show (rendered in glorious pixelated orange and black, of course). The table will be sold in three different versions: pro, premium, and limited. The pro version is the basic one, no additional frills. The premium model features a projector that can project video and animation right onto the field, a video monitor in the main ramp, and a magnetic lock to represent Eleven’s telekinetic abilities. The limited model has all of the premium’s features, as well as special cabinet art, a shaker motor, an autograph on the bottom arch, and more fancy stuff.
The pro model will cost $6,099, the premium $7,699, and the limited $9,099. Additionally, only 500 of the limited model will be produced.
