Is The XS Max Worth The Price?

Earlier today, I pre-ordered the iPhone XS Max. I currently own the iPhone 7, a model I have had since February of last year. With the release of the iPhone X, I felt like there was a new generation of iPhone I was completely missing out on. Apple had removed and improved on so many features that I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the newest release this year, no matter what it was.

So the question I want to address for everyone is this: Is the high price point for the iPhone XS Max worth buying? While I took that risk, I know some people won’t be fully in line with spending over a thousand dollars on a phone. After all, if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it.

But the XS Max takes us back to the days of the iPhone 8 plus. It’s large, but not too large. It’s got a 6.5 inch OLED screen, the largest and clearest in iPhone history, as well as dual 12 megapixel cameras equip with Smart HDR photo shooting. It’s by far the most powerful phone Apple has released. It’s battery is said to extend up to 90 minutes more than the current iPhone X.

And while all these features sound great, the phone’s biggest calling is its ability to run faster and smoother. Nicer pictures and an updated processor are standard with new iPhones, but the demos show that this phone can handle intense AR gaming with any stutters or hiccups. Look for an official review of the phone next week when I finally get my hands on one.
