You’ve heard of Wall-E, but now… get ready for Care-E! There’s a new robot companion rolling around in Dutch airports, and he/she/it is all about helping you get your luggage from one terminal to the other. And to put a smile on your face, of course.
Care-E is equipped with artificial intelligence and a slew of nonverbal bleeps and bloops to interact with you. The cute little baby blue bot will be able to redirect you if your flight gets changed to a different gate, carry up to 85 pounds of luggage, and has the capability of going a whopping 3 miles per hour, which is the average walking human speed.
KLM airlines, who first debuted Care-E in The Netherlands, is planning on distributing the robot to New York and San Francisco international airports in late 2018, so everyone can get their luggage carried by this adorable hunk of junk. It’s as easy as loading your bags, scanning your boarding pass, and setting off on an adventure with your new travel companion. Flying just got a little less stressful and a whole lot more enjoyable with Care-E.
