Sega Genesis Mini is the upcoming ‘mini’ version of the iconic Sega Genesis, the vintage linchpin in Sega’s bygone war against Nintendo. In case you haven’t been paying attention, here’s everything we know about the Mini right now.
Introduction
The Sega Genesis Mini brings back the retro vibe of the 90s, in a similar vein to Nintendo’s SNES Classic and Sony’s PlayStation Classic. Unlike these two, however, the Sega Genesis Mini offers twice as many games for a very affordable price.

Release Date
Right now, we’re looking at a September 19 release date. That’s still a while away from now, which means you have plenty of time to decide whether you want the console or not.
Do take note that unlike its competitors with their hard-to-find games, Genesis games have been released over and over again throughout the years, which lessens the need for a console like this. Still, if you’re going for that retro, nostalgic feel, it’s hard to go wrong with the Sega Genesis Mini.
