How much have you played Xbox over the last seven years?
You are most definitely not alone if you don’t have 500 smackers to get an Xbox Series X this holiday season. Microsoft is apparently sympathetic to this (to an extent), and so, has decided to give away a few free Series Xes. These XSXes aren’t going to just any old lamer gamer, though; if you want one of these, you gotta be the best of the best, the cream of the crop, the cusp of the stuff. You’re gonna have to earn your way into… the Xbox Hall of Fame!
Microsoft announced yesterday that over the next couple of months, they’ll be on the lookout for exceptional Xbox users all over the world. Players from 13 different regions will be judged based on eight different categories:
- Achievement Conqueror: Earning the most achievements in the Xbox One’s entire lifespan (2013 to now).
- Game Pass Ruler: Playing the most Game Pass games in the Xbox One’s entire lifespan.
- Gamerscore Legend: Earning the highest gamerscore in your region in the Xbox One’s entire lifespan.
- Sea of Thieves Legendary Captain: Having the highest Emissary Value in Athena’s Fortune Emissary voyages in Sea of Thieves.
- Gamerscore Champion: Having the highest gamerscore in your region during a specific competition period between October 1 and October 19, 2020.
- Forza Horizon 4 Hall of Fame Circuit: Getting the fastest lap record in a special Forza Horizon 4 circuit.
- Achievement Defeater: Earning the most achievements between October 1 and October 19, 2020.
- State of Decay 2 Zombie Slayer: Clearing all plague hearts in a Standard Zone solo map faster than anyone else in your region.

One winner will be selected for each category in every region, meaning there’ll be a total of 104 winners when the competition’s over. Winners will receive a free Xbox Series X, a year’s worth of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, an official Xbox Hall of Fame hoodie, and of course, a trophy.
