Halloween is creeping up fast, and the gaming world is once again going all out for the spooky season. Whether you’re into first-person shooters, open-world chaos, or eerie ghost hunts, there’s a little something for everyone to enjoy this October. From Call of Duty’s killer collabs to GTA Online’s paranormal mayhem, here’s your friendly guide to all the Halloween 2025 in-game events you should definitely check out before the candy runs out.
GTA Online – Halloween Haunts
Los Santos is feeling a little too quiet this Halloween… and that’s never a good sign. Rockstar is back with its annual Halloween Haunts event, bringing eerie UFO sightings, supernatural missions, and jack-o’-lantern collectibles that earn you extra GTA$.
The returning Slasher mode takes players deep into the Ramius submarine for a claustrophobic showdown between hunters and hunted. It’s double GTA$ and RP from October 16–22, so grab your flashlight and hope you’re not the one being stalked.
Rockstar’s also rotating special modes each week:
-
Oct 2–8: Beast vs. Slasher
-
Oct 9–15: Judgement Day
-
Oct 16–22: Slasher (Ramius Submarine)
-
Oct 23–29: Condemned
-
Oct 30–Nov 5: Slasher (All versions)
Keep your eyes peeled—there’s plenty of “off-kilter” activity rumored to haunt the city this month.
Halo Infinite – Operation Haloween 2
Master Chief is dressing up this year for Operation Haloween 2! Players can jump into a brand-new Survive the Undead playlist and earn Halloween-themed armor coatings, weapon skins, and more. Expect plenty of creepy vibes and high-octane fun on Halo’s battlefield.
Call of Duty – The Haunting
The fan-favorite Haunting event returns to Call of Duty on October 9, and it’s bringing an all-star horror lineup: The Predator, Jason Voorhees, and Chucky are dropping in as playable operators. Expect limited-time modes, spooky map makeovers, and maybe even some jump scares along the way. Details are still under wraps—but that just makes it scarier.
Fortnite – Fortnitemares 2025
No Halloween would be complete without Fortnitemares! Epic hasn’t officially spilled the ghastly details yet, but leaks point to returning horror icons and possibly a trio of Netflix’s K-Pop-inspired stars joining the lineup. Whatever happens, expect new skins, special quests, and plenty of creative chaos to keep the spirit alive (and undead).
Fallout 76 – Mischief Night
Get ready to cause some good old-fashioned chaos in Fallout 76’s Mischief Night event, running October 29–November 5. Join robot prankster JES-2R for a night of trickery—blow up cars, graffiti walls, fork lawns, and grab candy (or maybe a nasty trick).
You’ll earn XP, loot, and mischievous costumes for completing objectives. The event triggers every hour, so you’ve got plenty of chances to stir up some wasteland mayhem.
Phasmophobia – Blood Moon Rising
The ghost-hunting classic Phasmophobia is turning the fear up to eleven this year. From October 9–31, the game’s Halloween event introduces Blood Moon weather across seven maps—meaning faster ghosts, quicker sanity loss, and higher stakes for brave investigators. Complete challenges for exclusive rewards and bragging rights… if you make it out alive.
Warframe – Nights of Naberus
Running through November 3, Warframe’s Nights of Naberus is all about style with a sinister twist. You can score themed cosmetics like the Saturn Six Day of the Dead armor, the Eukar Claw skin, and much more. Head to Daughter in the Necralisk to trade Mother Tokens for exclusive Halloween rewards and dive into the eerie ambiance of the Origin System.
Red Dead Online – All Hallows’ Call to Arms
It’s a wicked wild west this October. Red Dead Online is offering triple RDO$, Gold, and XP in All Hallows’ Call to Arms missions, plus double rewards on Halloween-themed Telegram jobs. The Halloween Pass 2 also makes a grand return, loaded with eerie outfits and sinister surprises for those who like their spurs with a side of spook.
Hearthstone – Hallow’s End
Blizzard’s beloved card battler kicked off Hallow’s End back on September 23, running through October 14. Players can tackle themed quests to earn card packs, randomized rewards, and hero skins. It’s the perfect cozy (and slightly creepy) way to celebrate from your digital hearth.
Dead by Daylight – Haunted by Daylight
While Dead by Daylight is spooky year-round, the Haunted by Daylight event dials up the dread starting October 14. Expect haunting new cosmetics, killer challenges, and terrifying decorations across maps. It’s the perfect excuse to jump back in—and maybe run screaming from your favorite (or least favorite) killer.
Marvel Snap – Zombified Heroes
This October, Marvel Snap brings the undead to the multiverse. Every week, new zombified cards hit the game:
-
Oct 7: Colonel America
-
Oct 14: Zombie Mister Fantastic
-
Oct 21: Zombie Captain Marvel
-
Oct 28: Zombies Galacti
Players who purchase the Premium or Super Premium Season Pass can grab extra goodies, including a Series 5 Snap Pack and the Nightforged Arnim Zola variant.
Skate – Skate-O-Ween
The brand-new Skate is jumping right into the holiday spirit with Skate-O-Ween, running October 21–November 11. Cruise through San Vansterdam to unlock festive costumes and deck out your skater in eerie (and hilarious) new fits. It might not be the scariest event of the bunch, but it’s definitely full of tricks—and treats.
Get Your Game On (and Your Scare On)
Whether you’re tricking enemies in Call of Duty, ghost-hunting in Phasmophobia, or pulling pranks in Fallout 76, Halloween 2025 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting spooky seasons in gaming yet.
So, grab your controllers, dim the lights, and get ready for a frightfully fun time—because this October, the games are scarier (and more rewarding) than ever.
