Although local gameplay is not supported, the PlayStation Portal requires a minimum internet connection speed of 5Mbps, with Sony recommending 15Mbps for optimal performance.
It’s important to note that the PlayStation Portal is not compatible with Sony’s upcoming cloud streaming service for PS5 games. Rather, the device is designed to enable remote play of games already installed on the user’s PS5 console, providing a personalized and flexible gaming experience.
