After 2018 is over, Disney will be ending their partnership with Netflix. The streaming service industry is quite lucrative, and Disney has decided to get in on it themselves with their own streaming platform, Disney+.
When you think Disney, you will probably think of the classic animated films before anything else, but something to keep in mind is that Disney owns Marvel. And according to a Disney executive, reviving the cancelled Netflix Marvel shows is not off the table.
Kevin Mayer, who will be the head of Disney+ when it comes out some time in 2019, has stated in an interview that he would be interested in reviving ‘Daredevil,’ ‘Luke Cage,’ and ‘Iron Fist’ on Disney+. He would still have to wait 2 years after the cancellation of these shows, but this is the best news regarding Netflix’s Marvel universe that we’ve received since the announcement of ‘The Punisher’s’ second season.
