A new Purchases tab and smarter Promotions view make it easier than ever to stay on top of deliveries and deals in Gmail

Gmail is giving your inbox a little more sparkle. Starting today, users will see a brand-new Purchases tab designed to keep track of all their orders and upcoming package deliveries in one tidy place.

No more digging through emails to find shipping confirmations—whether it’s the sneakers you ordered last week or the holiday gifts making their way to your doorstep, Gmail will gather them under a single view. Packages scheduled to arrive within 24 hours will still show up right on top of your inbox, but now, everything from past orders to current shipments is just a tap away.

This update builds on Gmail’s package-tracking feature introduced in 2022, which allowed users to follow deliveries directly from their inbox instead of carrier websites. With holiday shopping in full swing—PwC projects that nearly 40% of gift spending will happen in the five days between Thanksgiving and Cyber Monday—Google says this update is arriving at just the right time to help users keep pace with all those boxes headed their way.

The Purchases tab is rolling out now on mobile and web for personal Google accounts worldwide.

And that’s not the only good news for Gmail fans. Google is also refreshing the Promotions category with smarter sorting tools. Soon, users will be able to view their most relevant promotions at the top, so the deals from favorite brands won’t get buried. Gmail will even give timely nudges to highlight offers before they expire—perfect for deal hunters.

This Promotions update will begin rolling out on mobile in the coming weeks. It follows Gmail’s recent subscription management tools, which made it easier to review and unsubscribe from recurring emails in bulk.

With these latest updates, Gmail continues to help people stay organized, save time, and make inboxes just a little friendlier.
