Apple Working On Touchless Control, Curved Screen For iPhones

A curved screen is something we have already seen on Samsung phones. It is a complicated situation because Apple buys a lot of its curved screens for phones from Samsung, even though they are a competitor. Curved screens are more durable and also are more ergonomic. Additionally, Apple is reported to be working on a touch-less, gesture component to controlling your iPhone. However, it is playing a bit of catch-up with Google, as Google has already been working on this technology since 2014 with a German chip maker.

Apple always says that while they may not be the first to market something, they always try to be the best at whatever it is. If the touch-less option of the iPhone does come to fruition, it will not be for at least two to three years. The touch-less version of the phone most likely will be waving or gesturing just above the surface of your phone, rather than swiping, pinching or squeezing. Application of Apple’s touchless gestures are reported to be different from the ones Samsung and Motorola have used in their phones. Your hands will have to be very close to the screen to use the touchless option in the handset because the display itself will act as the sensor.
