Amazon’s presentation at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show revealed some very important products, services, and features that will go along perfectly with its Key by Amazon, formerly known as Amazon Key.
Key is Amazon’s latest offering and solution to a common problem when buying physical products from e-commerce sites: packages getting stolen. It’s an in-home and in-car delivery service for Amazon Prime customers that lets authorized shippers gain access to their home, post office box or even car trunk at specified times. The basic Key package currently costs $7/month or $69/year, on top of an Amazon Prime subscription.
