Your Ticket To Space

Blue Origin, an American space company based out of Kent, Washington, has made the announcement that it will begin selling tickets to suborbital space in the year 2019. You may know Blue Origin as the company that was in talks with Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos to colonize the moon. All of this sounds like something out of a science fiction novel, but could it actually be coming true?
The 2019 plan for tourists to take a trip to space could cost anywhere between 50,000 to 250,000 dollars and here is what it entails:

Tourists will be blasted off to the edge of outer space in a Blue Origin rocket up to the point they reach weightlessness. Here, you will be able to take off your seatbelt and experience zero-gravity. Then, passengers will descend back down to earth via parachute free-fall while still encapsulated in the rocket hub.

Blue Origin has released very few details or specifics about this large endeavor, however they did say they would be conducting the first passenger test flights “soon.” If you’ve ever dreamed about visiting space, this might be your one way to get the experience, so stay tuned for more details.
