The need for a computer device, whether in the form of a desktop, laptop, tablet or smart phone is something which can’t be ignored. Most of our lives are now dependent on computers and the average user spends almost half of a day on these devices altogether.  Even though there have been many improvements and a lot devices offer the same functionality as the traditional desktop, the importance of these ancient big and powerful computers can’t come equal to anything. We all have smart phones and tablets that are WIFI enabled, but the truth is that to do some specific tasks; you need either a desktop computer or a portable laptop.

Now the most basic things in a computer, of any kind is its hardware. If something goes wrong with the hardware or if keeps on lagging and you can’t get any kind of work done, you need to start considering the option of upgrading it. Upgrading hardware, whether the complete CPU or just the RAM or hardware is one of the ways in which you can get your computer to work like new again.  Upgrading a PC is also much better than buying an entirely new one as it will save you a lot of cost. However, you should remember that if you have upgraded your PC a couple of times already and it keep getting slower, then may be time for you to replace it entirely.  Staying on the topic of upgrading hardware, let us discuss some options that you have when your computer starts to go a little crazy.

Make your Own Computer
As mentioned, if you have upgraded and replaced several parts of your computer already, then it is time you thought about making your own computer. This may be a little costly as buying a pre-made computer but it will ensure that you have everything according to your own needs. The hard drive, the mother boards, the sound card and everything else will be bought by you and this will mean that it is consistent with what you need.

Upgrade the Motherboard or CPU
The motherboard and hard drive are those components of a computer which are the most basic and crucial as well. Mostly, the reason why your computer starts to lag is because you have a hardware which has a lot of hardware and is desperately asking for an upgrade or because the motherboard (which is the brain of the PC) has simple worn out. In this case, replacing and upgrading these items will make a whole lot of difference on the performance of the PC.

Upgrade the RAM
Installing a brand new RAM on your own is another good idea to boost up that slow computer. Instead of hiring a professional company, just upgrade and install the RAM on your own. The process of installing the RAM in pretty much the same for all desktop or laptop computers, although, be sure you research how it’s done before you go opening up the CPU.
